Role Summary

A seasoned professional with ~12 years of experience working in multi-disciplinary Domestic and International projects, with specific expertise in Outside Plant Design, Planning & Engineering, and Rollout. As the Technical and People Manager, you will develop and execute project plans for current and new projects. 
Ensures quality of work and that industry guideline and requirements are met. Develops and maintains departmental processes, metrics, and KPIs. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader and experienced team builder with a proven ability to build, lead, and coach multidisciplinary teams.
 

Major Responsibilities:

1.    Proactively work with internal and external stakeholders to identify future growth areas and capacity needs, leading the development of near- and long-term engineering project plans and construction cost estimates for customer projects
2.    Plan, organize, and monitor the overall program objectives for the department. Utilize KPIs and metrics to monitor the performance of teams to ensure all deliverables are completed efficiently and as scheduled.
3.    Responsible for communicating organizational information through regular team meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate written and interpersonal communication
4.    Design outside plant network infrastructure which is cost-effective, fit-for-purpose, and future-proof for Backhaul network and Enterprise customers
5.    Leading all Outside plant design activities and providing technical expertise on all aspects of fibre design and planning
6.    Manage internal and third-party teams to produce high-quality designs of HFC, FTTX, and B2B networks for underground and aerial networks
7.    Responsible for new build, customer connections, network upgrades, diversionary works, and customized solutions
8.    Continued driving of improvement in costs, timescales, and quality
9.    To produce detailed industry-standard documentation of the design (HLD, LLD, and As-built) and update on Inventory Management Systems
10.    Design of the telecommunications industry and its practices/standards regarding the fibre construction costs to build an optical network 
11.    Must have skills in defining, evaluating, solving, and presenting alternatives to complex engineering problems and in applying engineering and economic principles while conducting studies and surveys to analyze a technical system or design
12.    Drive consistency, quality, suitability, and cost-effectiveness in the design delivery which should meet client-specific SLAs and KPIs
13.    Produces reports on quality assurance and projects for internal and client governance 
14.    Proposes, documents maintains and implements continual process improvements which lead to benefits for the client and TCTS
15.    Completes performance reviews for team members on a monthly/ quarterly basis and provides ongoing coaching on performance and building capability.
16.    Assesses internal training needs and identifies training opportunities to ensure effective performance
17.    Responsible for People Management including; hiring, onboarding, leading, developing, training, and mentoring team members

Minimum qualification & experience

  1. ~12 years of relevant experience in Telecommunications Engineering with over 8 years of experience as a Delivery Manager and a GIS PNI Expertise.
  2. Graduate in Engineering
  3. Proficient in MS Office Suite with good skills in PowerPoint and Excel
  4. Certifications in Project Management would be an added advantage.
