EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications/Computer Engineering or similar
  • 7+ / 10+ years of work experience in Telecommunications / Networking environment
  • Experience in Designing and documenting Network layouts in terms of Fiber, Voice, and Data Paths
  • Experience in leading and managing team seamlessly, team player and motivator  
  • Network / Voice certifications preferred
  • Experience of working in a multi stakeholder, large corporate environment

MANDATORY SKILLS

  • Ability to understand and plan any design work for Data / Voice and Core network
  • Hands-on experience with Data/Voice Network & telecommunications equipment
  • Proven experience in Telecommunications, Voice / Data design to achieve optimized network
  • Subject matter expertise in Design and activation of data and voice products
  • Knowledge of Nortel / Cisco / Juniper routers & switches for Voice products  
  • Applied knowledge of Relevant Telecom industry Standards
  • Ability to analyse proposed engineering solutions, and to verify their compliance with Internal and relevant industry standards
  • Manage teams effectively
  • Support and coordinate 2nd level escalation
  • Good Experience to manage onshore clients
  • Command over communication and skills  

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Proven ability to write high quality and easy to understand technical notes  
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, and Excel with any CRM applications
  • Ability to produce high quality team outputs
  • Diligent approach to track the escalation and manage client effectively

PERSONAL & DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Hands experience with fiber optics cable installation and termination
  • Routing, Switching and IP Knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with people at various levels in organization for requirements gathering
  • Ability to efficiently communicate and perform in the “virtual” team spread over several locations
