Broad outline of the Role

May be an individual contributor or may lead a team through expertise in most or all areas within Marketing and Communications. Tactical role which provides a marked contribution to defining the direction of new products, processes, standards or operational plans based upon business strategy, with a significant mid term impact on business unit overall results. May lead important projects that require providing experienced project team members with instruction, guidance and advice in all aspects of the project to ensure delivery of quality outcomes. Provides a second level management to a group of one or more teams led by a supervisor/team leader which in turn could comprise a combination of professional, technical administrative staff. Identifies problems and significantly improves, changes or adapts existing methods and techniques. Focus is on implementation and control rather than policy and strategy development. Impact of decisions made is short-term in nature. Able to identify problems and significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques. Education: MBA in Marketing Experience: 8-10 years

Purpose - Broad objective of the role

This is a strategic role responsible for developing positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, and enabling the Sales, Product and Marketing teams for the Network services portfolio. The portfolio includes new growth services for the company like managed SD-WAN & SASE, cloud networking as well as core connectivity services like internet, VPN, ethernet, leased lines, managed router & Wi-Fi etc. It is currently the largest portfolio within Tata Communications.

This role will drive synthesizing market inputs, customer and competitive insights for enabling the target revenues for the business. As the positioning gets built, this role will work closely with sales and product teams to design, implement and execute Tata Communications global Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, by collaborating with other products and services meant to address a specific secure network transformation theme for digital businesses.

Global role, required to interact and build relationships across range of functions and product management within Tata Communications.

Minimum qualification & experience

MBA graduate with an engineering degree and 7+ years of experience in telecommunications / technology and with a wide cross-functional experience. Preferable experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, Technical Marketing, Strategy, Biz Dev. Experience managing people and working at C Level.

Deep understanding of products and solutions that Tata Communications has to offer.
