Broad outline of the Role

Position – MW Planning and Design

Description

• Knowledge of latest microwave antenna and Radio equipment’s – Ericsson, Huawei, Aviat, Ceragon, DragonWave etc.
• Able to analyze the LOS reports from the field and plan the link.
• Transmission Capacity analysis, Path analysis, Interference analysis of the link.
• Link Engineering and Link Budget hops using planning tool with proper fade margin calculations and availability.
• Frequency Application, Frequency Allocation and Planning,
• Interference Calculation, Hi-Low Violation analysis to maintain the Network availability requirement.
• Preparing BOM/BOQ for MW links and Other Transmission related Equipment and cards based on the requirement of the links.
• Designing Microwave links for Greenfield sites and Bandwidth upgrade/degrade for existing links as per customer request.
• Preparing HLD for existing Network to ensure Max capacity as possible on each link and proper Fiber POP utilization.
• E2E testing of MW IP from Radio network element to core and prepare the report.
• Preparing Static load of the tower, Rooftop sites (Pole load, Antenna load).
• Exposure to LOS Survey, integration and operations would be and added advantage.
• Performance Management | KPI assurance | Optimization
• Language proficiency both in German & English.
• Total experience between 6-8 years.

Minimum qualification & experience

• Graduate with 4-6 years of experience
• German Language Fluency(Native)

• Demonstration of problem-solving skills
• Prior experience in providing technical support in fast paced, high availability, 24X7 environments.
• Knowledge of network, operation systems

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining, administering, upgrading, and troubleshooting network tools and equipment
• Assisting with and implementing installations as required for new and existing customer and internal projects inclusive of - terminations, testing and labelling of most common transmission mediums, hardware installations etc.
• Ensure SLA are achieved and work proactively to maintain the same.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments for networks, Servers, applications, and operating systems
• Conduct network security audits and scanning on a predetermined basis.
• Compile and track vulnerabilities over time for metrics purposes.
• Timely upgradation of all the tools used and their related documents like SOPs etc.

Technical Competencies

• Functional specifications, HLD (High Level Design) and LLD (Low Level Design) document understanding and preparation.
• Should be well known with Germany Telecommunication Standard.
• Should have knowledge of Microwave planning tools such as Pathloss, Mentum Ellipse etc.
• Have knowledge of GIS softwares such Google Earth, geoWorld, Mapinfo.
• Should be well versed in project management software such as Site forge, TTWOS, MYPPlus etc.
