Reporting to the leader of product development for hybrid network managed services, this position is responsible to manage product developments within the area of Cloud Connectivity and Hybrid Network services. Primarily, s/he carries out the product vision by implementing new offerings, including developing product operations internally and with partners/suppliers; and assessing and resolving product management issues. In addition, the candidate contributes to developing the product vision, including researching market and customer requirements, evaluating emerging technologies and solutions to contribute to the product strategy and roadmap.

Broad outline of the Role


  • Develop and maintain plans for new product introductions, with clear deliverables, stakeholders, defined outcomes, and timelines.   Such plans are tracked across the team, so the person in this position needs to provide scheduled and requested updates, including monitoring the green/amber/red status of each project.  For projects falling out of “green” status, there should be documentation of the plan for corrective action, alerting senior management to the causes and proposed solutions.
  • Understand and document key challenges and help develop solutions and remove roadblocks, coordinating with Engineering, Sales, Operations, Legal, Finance and other functions.
  • Develop and maintain a view of the customer by coordinating with Sales and SEs, to gather requirements and identify areas for improvement, as well as providing input to business cases and future product direction.
  • Support customer opportunities by training and backing up SEs and Account Managers. Serve as an escalation point for pre-sales issues for the target products.

Minimum qualification & experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology or Business with 4+ years of experience in roles where you have become experienced in product management or development, involving telecommunications or IT services or operations.
  • Must have experience with a few of the following:  underlay connectivity such as MPLS & IZO Internet WAN, Cloud connect & virtualised platform, CPEs, SDWAN and device virtualization
  • Strong working knowledge and awareness of Networking: Private (MPLS, Ethernet) and Public (IP telecoms products, architecture, and features. 
  • Familiarity with leading IaaS, SaaS Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).
  • Background in other advanced network-adjacent technologies such as IoT, 5G, AI, mobility, UCC, Video, etc. as this position involves network connectivity between such platforms and the CSPs.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills, good planning and organizational skills, multi-tasking, and be able to produce comprehensive technical and user informative documents.
  • Located in APAC region, this specialist should be confident about engaging with Sales about the product portfolio, having knowledge and judgment to reach out for additional support as needed but to work somewhat independently within the time zone.  Many key contacts will be in India, or even in Europe and America time zones.

  • Contribute to product requirements definition and technical solution development, working with engineering. 
  • Assist in Product Documentation, including product Concept, overview and specification, business scenarios and use cases, user experience specification and design, sales guide, service schedules, SLAs, FAQs, training presentations, and contribution to marketing collateral.
  • New Product Introduction, Agile Product Development – Service as product team’s advocate in NPI and Agile processes led by NPI project manager, for assigned product developments.
