Purpose of your Role:

As a Senior Salesperson specializing in IoT with a focus on Embedded Connectivity at Tata Communication EC MOVE, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business growth within the IoT market.
Your primary responsibility will be acquiring new enterprise customers who manufacture IoT devices and require support in formulating connectivity strategies for global expansion. Leveraging your existing Telco background and portfolio of enterprise customers, you will identify opportunities, build client relationships, and meet sales targets in the field of Embedded Connectivity, all while upholding our core values of Daring, Responsiveness, Inclusivity, Venturing, and Ethical conduct.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Fearlessly identify and target potential enterprise clients in the IoT industry who manufacture devices and need support in formulating domestic and global connectivity strategies.
• Build and maintain strong, responsive, and long-lasting client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
• Consistently meet and exceed sales targets by inclusively managing the sales cycle, negotiating contracts, and closing deals in the IoT sectors, focusing on connectivity strategies for global expansion.
• Leverage your expertise to venture into connectivity strategy development, understanding and addressing the unique challenges and opportunities they present for local business willing to address domestic markets.
• Uphold ethical standards by staying up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities in IoT, Telco, and Embedded Connectivity on a global scale.
• Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics specific to connectivity strategy services within the IoT sectors while adhering to ethical conduct, achieving revenue goals.
• Provide regular, responsive sales reports and forecasts to the Sales Director, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement, both domestically and internationally.
• Collaborate inclusively with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product management, to ensure alignment with customer needs and regional and global market trends.

Qualification and Exp:

• A bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in IoT with a strong background in Embedded Connectivity, SAAS model, sensors, edge computing and routers.
• A minimum of 10 years of successful sales experience in wireless communications or equivalent industry.
• In-depth knowledge of the IoT industry, including IoT device manufacturing and Telco services related to Embedded Connectivity, such as Healthcare medical devices, Industrial 4.0, Telematics, OEM, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting companies with connectivity strategy development, particularly those aiming for global expansion in the IoT market.
• An existing portfolio of enterprise customers within the IoT market, with a proven track record of sales success, both domestically and internationally.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage with Telco clients and IoT device manufacturers effectively, regardless of geographic location.
• Strong negotiation skills to close deals and secure mutually beneficial agreements in the Telco and IoT sectors, with a focus on connectivity strategy services.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant sales tools.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally if required.
