Broad outline of the Role

Govern end to end effective warehousing & logistics process in East region by collaborating with internal & external stakeholders to ensure that Warehouse throughput & delivery TAT is maintained.

Purpose - Broad objective of the role

Govern end to end effective warehousing & logistics process in a highly demanding project based environment. Effective Inventory management thereby ensuring accuracy of stock level through perpetual stock audits, third party physical verifications and material life cycle management through 3R methodology. Prioritize & drive 3PL for outcomes that are aligned to meet business aspirations. Responsible for training and development of 3PL resources. Drive EOHS, ISO, TL9000 process compliances and other compliance requirements with respect to disposal management. Knowledge of hazardous and E waste management is a must.

Incumbent has to manage 3PL team size of 8 people.

Minimum qualification & experience

• Bachelors degree in engineering or business or equivalent qualification
• 10-12 years of experience in supply chain or material management roles

Other knowledge/skills

Key Responsibilities

• SLAs monitoring in receiving, order fulfillment, shipping, forward logistics, reverse logistics & RSNR management.
• Complies with local warehousing, material handling and transportation requirements by studying existing and new statutory requirements.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting daily cycle counts, quarterly physical verification & reconciling with SAP inventory report.
• Speak with upstream and downstream to predict when items will arrive and leave, while managing inventory and space.
• Escalations resolution & managing stakeholders. Service delivery issues management.
• Verification of all freight invoices, 3PL service invoices & coordinate with accounts team for timely payments.
• Monitoring, ensuring correct GST Invoicing for outwards material movements & compliance along with E-way Bill generation as required.
• Knowledge transfer to 3PL staff in case of process changes and new WMS implementation.
• Review and disposals of scrap/obsolete inventory
• Handling of one or more warehouse locations.
• Adherence to internal policies and compliance requirements.

Technical Competencies

• Proven track record of Warehousing operations via 3PL model, which brings efficiency in service delivery.
• Must have excellent knowledge of SAP MM & WMS modules. Technical and IT skills & must have excellent presentation skills.

• The ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines. Planning and organizing skills to effectively manage the workflow.
• Must have implementation experience of warehouse set up.

• Strong Understanding of occupational health safety and ISO standards.
• Knowledge across various domains in supply chain i.e. Supervision, Safety Management, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Surveillance Skills, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, and Analyzing Information and Equipment Maintenance.
• Prior experience in Telecom or FMCG domain & Ability to deliver in a dynamic, high-uncertainty environment.
