Job Summary

Achieve the strategic, financial and customer satisfaction objectives for Tata Communications’ Hybrid connectivity services product line: comprising of IZO WAN, IZO Private Connect and Global VPN. The position reports to the leader of outbound product management for Hybrid connectivity services. The selected candidate will contribute to developing product strategy and roadmap, with responsibility of product P&L, and support complex sales and customer opportunities.

Key roles/ responsibilities.

1.    Interfacing with key customers and prospects in the region.: Understand customer requirements, document key challenges and help develop solutions.

 

2.    Go to market and product strategy for the region. 
This senior leader will drive preparation of product strategy, roadmap & transformation (next 1-3 years) to include new product development, feature introduction, new technology; Prepare AOP for product portfolio basis forecast outlook, market outlook, customer needs, regulatory changes, competition landscape, to include financials goals such as gap revenue targets, EBITDA targets and Capex/Opex requirement for network upgrades or augmentation for existing products to meet targets; Drive annual planning of initiatives to attain targets such as marketing campaigns, new product introduction, cost management initiatives, new technology introduction etc.


3.    Sales and Market Enablement 
Discuss go-to market plan and product positioning basis competition landscape analysis, customer requirement, product improvement areas and USPs with Sales and Marketing team and plan marketing campaigns such as special pricing, cross product bundling; Define success metrics for campaigns, evaluate post campaign success and take corrective actions if required; Guide team on preparation of sales and marketing toolkits (with product information, brochure, presentations etc.); Drive engagement with key customers; Guide team to validate solution, evaluate operational aspects such as billing process and pricing in case of strategic deals; Guide team to define governance process and ensure adherence; Monitor product, process and governance training for Sales team.

4.    1:3: 30 Strategy for New Services 
This  person  will be responsible  to onboard the 1st and next 3 customers for the new services launched for Hybrid Connectivity services   for Fy22. The person will be responsible for product positioning, pricing and ensure that the entire Quote to Cash process works for the initial customers. The product lead will jointly co own the funnel build for new services and features.

5. Analyst Relations.: Responsible for evangelizing  the  product portfolio with business leaders, analysts, media and industry forums. The person will be responsible to maintain relationships in the region with key consultants/analysts and make sure that they are updated on an ongoing basis on our overall product strategy and vision. 

6. Working on ongoing & new product development initiatives on IZO WAN.
 Develop and maintain a view of the customer by coordinating with inbound product teams with clear deliverables, stakeholders, defined outcomes and timelines.

7. Conducting Sales/customer training and workshops
 

Qualification & Experience

•    Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (mandatory)
•    A management degree (preferred)
•    15+ years of experience in product management/sales engineering/ engineering roles, and solutions development involving cloud, telecommunications, and/or IT services.
•    Strong knowledge and awareness of Private (MPLS, Ethernet) and Public (Internet) telecom products, architecture, features, and managed services. 
•    Beneficial to have knowledge of managed security services, data center colocation and interconnection services including Cloud, Voice, Data, and Mobile, familiarity with the virtualized implementation of network functions.
