Broad Role Description;


 The Candidate in this role will take the responsibility for Product Management & Development for IP Transit Service for international region(s). The role covers the new product development & life cycle management of IP Transit Service and provide product management support to international regions like Americas & Europe


Key Role Deliverables

New Product/Service development:

  •  Capture Market requirements and prepare MRD, convert market requirements into Service requirements, Conceptualize the New Service requirements for Management review.
  • Prepare Service Definition, features, SLAs, Service Guide etc.
  • Prepare solution together with all related departments (like engineering, operations, customer service, billing etc.)  to capture capex and opex requirement.
  • Prepare business case for Service roll out.
  • Vendor evaluation
  • Driving Project management on service roll out.
  • Preparing and execute Go to Market Plan for Service Launch including training to Sales, Solution Engineering & other teams.
  • Maintain the ongoing Service Life Cycle after rollout.

Product Life Cycle Management:

  • Capture market updates on enhancement of features etc  of existing service.
  • Handle routine product queries from various teams.
  • Define the service enhancement requirements and enhance the service.

Review and manage product pricing and define pricing guideline.

Provide product support to sales, pre-sales and other teams on day today basis.

Periodic Service Guide and Sales Kit updates.

Preparing & analyzing the business cases for Cape and Opex investments

Carrying and achieving Product Revenue and P&L Targets

Experience - Necessary Requirement


•    8-12 years of experience in telecom and Internet / ISP industry. 
•    6-8 years’ experience in Internet Product Management and Development, Internet Engineering.
•    Excellent in-depth knowledge and experience of North America, Latin America and Europe IP Transit and DIA markets and associated internet ecosystem 
•    Good Knowledge of Enterprise, Service Providers, Carrier, Telcos, MNOs, ISPs and Content (CDN, OTT CSP) Market Segments
•    Experience and knowledge in Internet and IP Transit Services and market 
•    Strong techno commercial and analytical skills 

Key Technical Skills & Domain Knowledge- Necessary Requirements 

•    Experience and in-depth domain expertise in Internet and IP Transit Services & Technologies.
•    Experience in Internet, IP Transit and DIA Product Management and Development
•    Relevant Strong Technical skills related to Internet/ IP Routing, Routing Protocols and Transport Technologies.
•    Internet Traffic Engineering, Internet BGP & routing analysis skills.
•    Consulting and Solutioning wherever required. 
•    Understanding of Interconnection & Internet Peering Dynamics, Caching and CDNs.
•    Strong knowledge of next generation core technologies e.g. SDN, NFV, SDWAN, Edge Computing etc. 
•    Strong understandings of Financial Metrics and Business Case Evaluation & Performance Parameters.
