The incumbent will manage a key support sector of our business, providing leadership and support to his/her staff so as optimize the use of resources (staff, time, budgets, business strategy) in the various support functions and key activities being covered by the International Real Estate team.

Broad outline of the Role

  • Manage a group of ± 5 HC predominantly based in Montreal.  Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Develop objectives for the section and for each team member that reflect the goals of the section and company.
  • Manage the team responsibilities for all aspects of International Real Estate such as timely lease and tax payments, lease negotiations and renewals, lease disputes, sublet of unused space, etc with the assistance of the legal and/or procurement teams as needed.
  • Own and manage a critical OPEX lease budget ranging in the order ±70M USD per year.
  • Initiate lease and tax audits to ensure TCL is rightfully charged per leases and/or local rules and regulations.
  • Develop and co-ordinate procedures to improve efficiency of his/her section.
  • Develop key lease strategy(ies) linked with our various LOB’s and global strategy so as to optimize costs/savings and minimize risk.

Minimum qualification & experience



  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant field and/or experience deemed equivalent
  • A minimum of five (5) years relevant expertise and in team/staff management and/or project management.
  • Very good knowledge of the Telecom Business, its various products and related demand dynamics.
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written French and English.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
