Objective

  • We are looking for a seasoned business leader with proven experience in driving customer engagement, co-innovation and success for early-stage product innovations / ideas. You will be supporting a very dynamic suite of Innovation Product and Services, and a challenging and exciting set of Industry customers. 

    Corporate innovation team is part of the corporate strategy group at Tata Communications and is responsible for driving both internal and external innovation efforts through a range of programs and initiatives, including incubating early-stage ideas from concept to product-market fit. In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with various business units and incubation teams to take some of our early-stage product ideas / MVP propositions in the area of security, cloud/edge, SASE, CPaaS, 5G, IoT etc, covering the breadth of our portfolio, to some of our strategic customers in India and globally. You will be responsible for setting up and driving our customer co-innovation program with our strategic customers with an aim to build mind share, conduct innovation workshops, discover, and drive co-innovation projects, working closely with the client teams as well internal incubation and sales leaders. You should be a self-starter and extremely comfortable in working with ambiguity in a dynamic work environment. You should possess a strong consultative and business development mindset with ability to create thought leadership with customers and takes ideas into conception

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and put in place a customer co-innovation program agenda, working closely with regional sales, marketing, product incubation/innovation teams and client partners in the region
  • Build strong thought leadership and point of view on emerging technologies aligned to customer’s business drivers, in order to put together and deliver a strong innovation agenda for customer co-innovation, working closely with product innovation / incubation, marketing and sales teams
  • As a customer co-innovation champion in the region, conduct customer innovation workshops leading to meaningful outcomes in terms of co-innovation ideas, POCs and build a strong funnel of opportunities for early-stage innovation portfolio of Tata Communications
  • Proactively drive pre-workshop preparation and post workshop actions working closely with cross functional teams at Tata Communications, to ensure impactful outcomes
  • Work with business and incubation teams to pull together the most relevant and compelling product propositions to take to the customer
  • Come up with disruptive models of innovating with customers and help execute them working closely with rest of the Corporate Innovation team and business leaders
  • Be a strong advocate and build the brand for Tata Communications’ Innovation program in the region and around the world
  • Own customer success targets for customer co-innovation program and work with the business to define and measure the same

Skills and Qualification:

  • Overall, 12-15 years of work experience in the emerging technologies and areas of security, cloud/edge, next gen connectivity, AI and related technologies
  • 5-7 years of most recent experience with a successful track record in strategic business development and customer co-innovation with large Enterprise customers
  • More recent experience working as a customer facing senior presales solution architect in a technology or IT firm would be preferred
  • A blend of business acumen and strong technology understanding to be able to have a range of conversations and ideation sessions with CxO in the customer organization
  • Excellent client facing skills and a desire to drive high client success
  • Strong stakeholder management skills,
  • Solutions mindset with the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical aptitude and architecture understanding in security, cloud/edge, SASE and related technologies, products, and services 
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving and strong solution orientation

  • Strong communication skills to interface with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage fortune 500 customers at the level of CTO, CDO and CIO
  • Agile methodology and some certification in cloud certification would be preferred
