About Function

The function is responsible for Strategic Sourcing of Network equipment globally for Tata Communications and subsidiaries.

Purpose of the Role

To head the function of Strategic Sourcing of Network equipment. The Network Sourcing Head is responsible for planning, development and execution of category strategy and delivery plan for sub-categories within the Network category.

Minimum qualification & experience

BE/B Tech, MTech

MBA from a Premier Institute

Between 18 - 25 years of experience in telecom

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Management
• Spend analysis
• Planning, development and execution of category strategy and delivery plan for sub-categories
• To define category performance objectives aligned with Supply management departmental objectives and also ensure daily Operations updated with the market
• Manage supplier and contractor performance in conjunction with internal stakeholders and also maintain good business relationship with them.
• Responsible for adherence to Annual Procurement Plan, achieving objectives of savings and business velocity

 Compile market intelligence Data
• Profile the Spend category, collect & review latest Spend and internal demand data
• Identify/evaluate potential sourcing strategies; run risk analysis; document sourcing strategies
• Manage the end to end RFI, RFP/RFQ processes, with support from the Operations/Technical Teams
• Lead sourcing projects (where required) and ensure that target savings and benefits are achieved.
• Develop evaluation criteria, and evaluate tender responses, with support from the Operations/Technical Teams

Negotiate contracts with suppliers.

• Implement negotiated contracts and monitor contractual compliance
• Comply with the Procurement and Supply Chain policies and procedures
• Ordering cycle in SAP

 Cross Functional Collaboration
- Build and maintain effective business relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Manage supplier and contractor performance in conjunction with internal stakeholders
- Manage Vendor, manage contracts.
