Manager - IT Operations & Infrastructure

Broad outline of the Role

• The role is responsible for driving regular operations and maintenance of IT infrastructure, applications and database including delivery of infrastructure projects. This is an operational role, responsible for delivering results that have a direct impact on day-to-day operations and capable of instructing professional or technical staff and reviewing the quality of the work undertaken by these roles.

Purpose - Broad objective of the role

The person would be responsible for managing the complete Infrastructure along with Infra compliance.

Minimum qualification & experience

•    Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
•    5-6 years of Server administration with experience on Virtualization and Storage administration.
•    System administration and IT certifications in Microsoft, Wintel & AD Environment
•    Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare Vsphere 6.x & 7.x, or equivalent
•    Backup administration with Veritas Backup exec solution or any.
•    Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
•    Storage environment experience with EMC & Netapp
•    Knowledge on Symantec Endpoint protection manager
•    Knowledge and experience on any NMS, SIEM & FIM solutions.
•    Experience with scripting and automation tools
•    Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of Servers, Storage, network and virtualization
  •    Installation, configuration, trouble shooting and administration Microsoft Windows Server OS and Linux.
  •    Administration on Virtual Environment with VMWare solutions.
  •    Understanding on Storage concept, and Implement, maintain, monitor, performance tuning and upgrade SAN & NAS environment.
  •    Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
  •    Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  •    Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
