About Role

Role Description and Purpose:

The job holder provides procurement support to business teams that are directly supporting our customers.  The job holder is expected to help ensure our timely quotes from the suppliers, competitive cost negotiation and contracting and ordering on time.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure estimates are created and quotes are received from suppliers on time.
  • Support the regional head by working on certain rfps across product verticals and driving competitive cost.
  • Build analytics for sourcing team which can be leveraged for better costs by the buyers.
  • Minimize the potential risks to reduce supply chain uncertainties and shocks, evaluate and check quotes for errors and mistake because they are shared with business.
  • Create and develop relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate ongoing collaboration between the Business teams, Operations team, Enablers team and Logistics team.
  • Manage day-to-day activities, reporting and compliance, to ensure timely procurement as per business requirements.
  • Ensure purchases are executed in a timely manner and in accordance with the company’s policies.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

Job Requirements

  • Excellent negotiation skills and stakeholder management
  • Mandatory 8-10 years of procurement experience with minimum 6 years’ experience in Telecom industry handling Network, Public Cloud, Security, Server, Storage, Software products and services, managed Hosting and Security services including customer premise equipment.
  • Experience of working in a presales environment and bid management in telecom or network providers.
  • Strong understanding of contract and commercials
  • Well organized and self-motivated individual capable of making decisions.
  • Understanding of international freight and delivery models. Experience in managing distributors will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and with some amount of ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of Cisco CCW portal
  • CCNA certified for technical understanding & support function.
