Role Summary

BCMIS-Business Collaboration Solutions provides telecommunication services to Carrier and Enterprise customers.  The ideal candidate shall have a primary responsibility to analyze the specific BCMIS product and market requirements in order to develop a supply plan to acquire required number inventory through local suppliers to drive BCMIS growth.  This is an overlay role, working with the BCMIS Product Management teams as well as the Regional Voice Account Managers manage the defined supply plan.  This position requires having a broad view to identify new and potentially unexpected opportunities for achieving business growth from our Voice & Mobility products and services.

Broad outline of the Role

  • Manage the BCMIS supply plan, including funnel of new inventory/coverage requirements
  • Supply plan may require working with new or existing suppliers:
    • New interconnects dedicated for Voice & Mobility services
    • New buying models in support of traffic streams & profiles
    • New locations and/or types of interconnection to improve QoS
  • Support new vendor selection process
    • lead contract negotiations with selected vendor
    • coordinate with vendor and internal technical teams to provision & test vendor
  • Work with third-party vendors in order to develop a clear roadmap for integration and support for additional applications that may be critical to Voice & Mobility service offerings
  • Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate with Market Management to maintain cost competitive services

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent
  • 5 to 7 years of professional experience in direct account management or business development in the APAC telecoms market
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the International Telecommunications Service Provider industry
  • Experience sourcing, contracting, negotiating with and managing telecom suppliers
  • Strong initiative & drive
    • Self motivated and able to work independently when appropriate
    • Ability to adapt and operate effectively in a complex and ever-changing environment
    • Strong planning, organizational and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English language mastery)
  • Flexibility to work across multiple time zones as necessary

 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Chinese (Mandarin) verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Understanding of APAC telecom regulatory environment a plus
