Job Summary

Tata Communications is looking for a dynamic, experienced, and technically knowledgeable product manager to lead our Tata  Managed Video as a Service Portfolio.  The candidate will be responsible for driving our Video-as-a-Service (VaaS) strategic vision/roadmap and driving video enablement into our Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) Cisco Powered Solutions customer base. Tata Managed Video Services are both critical and strategic cornerstones for our global growth objectives. The company is looking for elite product management to lead, develop and execute on the VaaS strategy. This will require the ability to coordinate with our global managed services partners,  service assurance/operations, guide the engineering/development teams and champion the go-to-market with sales and product marketing. The successful candidate must be able to team and provide leadership to the UCaaS PM, IT, Operations, Support, and Marketing counterparts with a key focus on executing the executive vision to develop short/long term strategic outlook on products managed.

 

This role requires a self-motivated and technically capable individual that can make sense of the extremely competitive Managed Video-as-a-Service and Unified Communications solutions market and provide critical strategic direction and execute a roadmap that validates and secures Tata Communications as a leader in the Managed Video segment. The candidate will have global responsibility for the Tata Managed VaaS offering and will be 100% accountable for the growth targets and required the migration of our TPaaS, VCaaS, and Jamvee UC customers to a new partner-driven platform. Critical to success will be solidifying partner alignment to our Tata VaaS objectives, identifying operational requirements, creating compelling offers, and ensuring that lifecycle management and adoption services are in place to secure customer satisfaction and quality of experience.  The Product Manager will champion and execute across cross-functional teams and drive solution enablement discussions with the Sales, Customers, Engineering, Operations, Technology & Service Development teams. Product Manager will lead projects through the Tata Communications New Product Introduction process and champion the UCaaS Managed Services Workstream and contribute to the product definition and overall roadmap of Tata UCaaS Cisco Powered Solutions portfolio. This position will be responsible for the business performance and all aspects defining and executing the product roadmap for the Managed VaaS solutions and have specific performance and key metrics related to adoption and global revenue growth.  

Responsibilities

  • Drive the discussions with our VaaS global partners/vendors, eco-system of Tata Managed Services partners and the global Cisco Collaboration team.
  • Define, launch, implement and manage the lifecycle of Managed VaaS and video adoption within the UCaaS Cisco Powered Solutions Managed Services
  • Provide critical guidance for cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, IT, in defining, prioritizing & executing on providing robust managed offerings
  • Work closely with Sales, Business Development, Marketing teams to define/evolve product(s) and solution GTM strategy, expand customer footprint and maximize revenues.
  • Manage and execute against the global VaaS product roadmap based on input and needs of the lines of business as well as the vendor and solution technology capabilities; Ensure alignment of technology roadmap to published product roadmap; 
  • Help to define Operations and Customer Support Organizations priorities
  • Manage Vendor relationships; develop new and maintain existing vendor relationships
  • Develop and Maintain sales and customer-facing product information

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of product management experience, with particular focus in delivering successful Unified Communications Managed Services and Solutions.  Candidate must have strong Telepresence/Video Conferencing solutions and UCaaS portfolio experience.  Direct accountability for driving Managed Solutions portfolio and certifications related to leading video conferencing and Cisco Collaboration Solutions is mandatory.   Candidate must be able to demonstrate the product and technical solution knowledge related to Cisco IPT, Video and Web Conferencing and have Managed Services and Video Conferencing solution development and global delivery with major VC vendors (Cisco, Polycom, Lifesize, Avaya or other). 

 

Knowledge of UCaaS market technologies, Cisco Collaboration Solutions, enterprise buying trends, and cost and pricing trends is a must

  • Formulate and execute product strategy
  • Strong project management skills. Ability to gather the support of cross-functional organizations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to create sharp, appealing, and concise presentations and to present to both internally and customers.
  • Experience in driving solutions through NPI Process, and product owner for Agile Development projects 
  • User / Use Case development experience for collaboration solutions
  • Work with customers/partners to align and drive our VaaS and UCaaS Managed Services portfolio globally  
  • Technology transformation experience – delivery of new services and responsibility with Unified Communications Managed Services
