The Role:

 As Senior Manager – Corporate Communications, you will be a part of the global corporate communications team to lead, run and manage all internal and external communications for the Americas region including regional strategy and planning. 

Reporting to the Associate Director for Global External Communications and a dotted line to the Global Internal Communications Head, you will create, manage and execute high impact communications campaigns across PR, media, employees, bloggers, influencers. With stellar editorial skills, the role will require high degree of innovative and creative thinking to drive engagement and visibility across channels and audiences

The role would entail working closely with sales, marketing, products, HR and operations to ensure that corporate reputation management and engagement with all internal and external audiences is being done in a timely manner.

In addition, being a part of the Global Internal Communications team, you will also participate in corporate internal communication projects as well as integrated corporate communications projects.

This role currently does not have any direct reports although you will have support and access to the international teams within Corp Comms

Area of Responsibilities:

Crafting key messages, presentations, Q&As and other documents used by leaders and executives to convey strategy and ensure consistent, coherent cascade of information across audiences internally and externallyDeveloping effective engagement and relationship build strategies and support senior leadership team in their ability to engage media, bloggers, influencers and teams in business and

organisational priorities.

Conceptualise, manage and run events like leadership sessions / meets, live or virtual kick off meetings to engage, motivate and align regional teams.

 

Developing communications that are well researched, shigh quality, clear, crisp, coherent and consistent for all business and corporate thematics ensuring 100% accuracy and completeness.

 

Developing best practices that can be shared across internal communication team members for optimal efficiency and impact.

Key Competencies

Function skills

  • Tertiary qualified in Communications (Bachelor or Masters) 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Communications roles
  • Experience with geographically distributed teams is an advantage
  • Outstanding communications skills, including written and spoken English
  • Experience in managing campaigns
  • Experience with successful handling of issues and crisis communications with internal and external audiences, including advising and coaching executives
  • Ability to think strategically and innovatively within the area of communications, as well as the capability to implement and follow-up on decisions taken.
  • Service-oriented team player who can handle tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to initiate and manage projects as well as be operational and “hands-on”

Key Competencies

Following skills and experience are highly regarded

  • Prior experience in internal communications and working with senior stakeholders
  • Experience with Marketing Communications and Public and Media Relations is an advantage.
  • Experience with media relations, either agency or client side.
  • Experience with design and execution of digital media campaigns, including social media, an advantage
