Academic Qualification

Degree /Diploma in Engineering (Electronics & Telecommunications or equivalent)

Responsibilities 

Network Monitoring and Incident Response:

Provide expert-level support for triaged network incidents by L1, demonstrating in-depth knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

Mentor and assist junior team members in handling complex issues.

Monitor the enterprise network infrastructure for performance, security, and availability.

Respond promptly to network incidents, perform initial diagnostics, and resolve or escalate issues as needed.
Incident Management

Take a lead role in managing and resolving critical network incidents.

Collaborate with L2 and L3 support teams to ensure swift incident resolution.
Proactive Maintenance:

Conduct advanced proactive maintenance to optimize network performance and stability.

Propose and implement optimizations to enhance overall network efficiency.
Advanced Troubleshooting and Analysis:

Conduct detailed analysis of complex network issues, identifying root causes and providing effective solutions.

Lead efforts to develop long-term strategies for recurring problems.
Change Management:

Engage in planning and execution of network changes with L2/L3, network upgrades, and implementations.

Ensure compliance with change management processes and contribute to process enhancement.
Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.

Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance the team's overall expertise.

Review KEDB Updates made by L1 and ensure compliance, data coverage and integrity,

Create and update knowledge base articles for common issues.

Generate reports as per defined procedures.
Collaboration:

Work closely with L2, L3, and other cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members

Experience and Qualifications Requirements

Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.

4+ years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or network engineering role.

Strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies, protocols, and best practices.

Proficiency in using network monitoring tools and incident management systems, trouble ticketing systems, CMDB etc..

Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA or CCNP are highly desirable.

Hands on experience and strong understanding of Cisco hardware architecture Cisco 7600, 6800, 4500, 4400, 3800, 3700 2900, 2800, 1900, 1800 etc..

Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Proactive approach to incident prevention and optimization.

Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends

Should possess very good verbal and written communications skills
