Broad outline of the Role

Purpose - Broad objective of the role

Lead the Business Solutions Group to build capability within IT to optimize use of solutions/applications architecture, drive interactions with customers of IT in a deliberate way, manage inbound pipeline of strategic projects and macro level changes to existing legacy applications

Minimum qualification & experience

Masters or an MBA degree with 20 years of experience in a global IT environment ; Require knowledge of deployment of various systems and processes within IT including OSS/BSS Enterprise Architecture; Involvement in writing Techno-commercial bids, Service Delivery and Program Management would be preferable

Leadership skills such as people management, execution and planning focus, communication skills

Key Responsibilities

1) Enterprise Architecture Realisation Drive the alignment of the IT Applications used by business globally; Define and help adopt organization wide Application guidelines; Guide the team to provide Enterprise architecture expertise for systems and projects; Lead the deployment and installs into Production; Drive the development and execution of the applications roadmap( details such as gap analysis, enhancements, buy vs. build decisions etc.); Enable the drive towards a common information model; Guide development of guidelines for White labelled Portals and Software as a Service platforms; Define operational benchmarks and assess performance; Provide direction to team on corrective action plans. 2) Enterprise Architecture Execution Lead the team to drive the requirements analysis and system engineering study with key IT customers; Guide the team to assist with creation of customer roadmaps based on requirements and best practices; Share inputs to perform requirements rationalization and feature validation; Drive development of User Business Requirements and the High Level Design; Support customer organization through change impacts; Drive quality assurance and coordination with business peers; Lead End-to-End Scenarios (E2E) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT); Guide the team to deliver on user documentation and drive training and knowledge transfer. 3) Commercial Management Drive the development of the techno-commercial content of the Statement of Work for strategic projects; Liaise with the commercial team to develop other aspects of SOW such as terms and conditions, services agreement, licenses, payment milestones etc. ; Engage in discussions with the vendors when required. 4) Solution Delivery Guide the solution delivery for strategic projects such as migration etc.; Provide project leadership and management within IT for such projects; Guide the team to drive the entire SDLC cycle from UBR completion to deployment - development of high level, low level, detailed design, manage the development process, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, UAT, documentation , training, data model documents etc.); Participate in workshops for technology groups when required; Guide discussions with vendors and consultants when required; Monitor performance against plans and take corrective actions if required. 5) Process Management Drive the development of the process management document; Lead the process of documentation of existing functions and to be processes; Liaise with the Business Excellence team when required; Guide team on process improvement initiatives; Review value creation and project success to feed into next year's plans. 6) Team Development Regularly review team structure and assess talent requirements; participate in the recruitment and selection process; conduct goal setting and performance review for the team; drive team development, engagement and reward initiatives; coach and mentor team members as required and ensure resolution of any people issues.
