Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in Transmission project management
  • Provide Tier 3 support to NOC in chronic and critical issues.
  • Managing Wet Plant such as Fault localization, Repeater and BU manageability and preparation of MOP for readiness during any catastrophe.
  • Manage specifically assigned critical Planned Event 
  • Preparing Incident Report, RFO and RCA for critical event and release of Service Improvement plan if applicable.
  • Periodic performance analysis of Supplier and Vendor, feedback on Improvement initiatives 
  • Support quality improvement projects and impart technical training to team.
  • This role transvers across different technologies
  • Perfomance review with OEM/service perviders
  • Partner, Supplier/Vendor Relationship Management
  • Experties in SDH/DWDM/OTN  technology/ NMS and in depth troubleshooting skill
  • Expertise in Ciena 6500/ Infinera /Tejas/Tyco/Subcom Subsea equipments like repeaters/BU/PFE
  • Subsea and terrirstrial capacity upgrade/channel addition/software upgrade activity
  • 15 years of experience in Tx domain
  • Have good understanding of OSS
  • Work experience in problem management 
  • Expertise in Subsea technology
  • Expertise in project management for Subsea repair activity
  • Expertise in subsea cable NOC management,  operation, and project management
  • Experience in handling diversified team consist of expertise of multiple domain expertise in transmission and IP
  • Certification in - PMP, CCNA/CCNP, ITIL 
     

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead domain specific operations team to meet the uptime targets.
  • Manage network operations and maintenance, this may include marine cables, network equipments, facility, security operations for all sites and network.
  • Ensure timely identification and fixing of network failures, review repeat issues to ensure permanent remedial actions are taken.
  • Lead and drive operational review meetings with vendors.
  • Develop tactics for improving operation efficiencies while improving service levels, employee retention and operational costs.
  • Provide direction and escalation support to 24/7 NOC team.
  • Manage difficult customer situations; respond promptly to customer needs; respond to requests for service and assistance.
  • The role will lead a large team.
