Broad outline of the Role

  • The position will be responsible for collecting and analyzing sales and revenue / cost performance for Core and Next-Gen Connectivity Services (CNGCS) globally.  The data and reports generated will assist Product and Cost Owners in decision making with respect to product performance, and performance against targets set in the annual operating plan.  This position will also assist in building financial forecast models.

Minimum qualification & experience

  • University degree in Business Administration, Management, or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years Telecommunications or related industry experience.
  • Solid experience in managing financial data, strong ability to analyze and synthesize information
  • Strong skills in using Microsoft Excel

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of business process.
  • Willing to travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and present global sales data to enable CNGCS to track performance against AOP targets.  Key performance indicators include:
    • monthly new sales, price trends / erosions, terminations
    • revenue by customer segment and region
    • product run rate / churn rate
    • total and new revenue by service, segment, route, cable system vs. targets
  • Prepare monthly dashboard for Management review including:
    • identify revenue trend
    • forecast revenue based on new sales and existing sales funnel
    • identify cost trend
    • prepare cost outlook forecast and identify areas for cost optimization
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure the revenue and / or cost is correctly captured & reported
  • Review monthly revenue reports from Finance and provide details and action plan on any anomaly on revenue (large and unexpected loss / credit, revenue swing, missing revenue, etc) and on cost (large and unexpected reversals , backdated costs, etc.)
  • Work with Sales Governance, SCM, Finance and across LOBs for business process alignment
  • Track order-to-bill process to ensure new MRC wins be converted into product revenue
  • Provide central management of the AOP process for CNGCS.
  • All of the above requires interaction with Teams in Product, Sales Operations, FP & A, Revenue Reporting, Service Assurance, Engineering and Sales Governance, etc.
