    Position Summary – Senior Security Analyst  (L3)

Purpose - Broad objective of the role

  • Key Objective / Purpose of the Job:  

 

  • Need to have extensive experience in Checkpoint MDS and Checkpoint MLM /FortiGate FortiManager & FortiAnalyser, CheckPoint Firewall (VNF) , Fortigate FG-VM04 (VNF)
  • Cisco 600V (VNF)  Iornport Email Gateway, Proxy Appliance ,Cisco ISE
  • Should identify, troubleshoot and resolve any hardware, software or configuration related incidents observed on any equipment across network.
  • Need to work in Flexible shift time
  • Support for a variety of security services and platforms
  • Provide Support for L2 Escalated cases and detailed analysis of security alerts

Minimum qualification & experience

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Engineering/Technology (Telecommunication/ Computers) or equivalent degree with 6-8 years of work experience Certifications: CCNA, CCNP Security, Fortinet, Checkpoint or equivalent certification
  • Systematic approach towards work areas.

  • Providing security operations, maintenance functions, and troubleshooting
  • Monitoring of health of Security Components & sanity checks
  • Performs deep-drive incident analysis by correlating data from various sources
  • Determines if a critical system or data set has been impacted & advises on remediation
  • Configure, manage and operate: Firewall, URL Filtering, SSL VPN, NSM, etc. and elements which are deployed to secure large networks
  • Licenses management & Backups and Restoration
  • Continually striving to reduce customer-impacting outages/degradations and restoring service Responsible for preparing Method of Procedure for any configuration changes and follow Change management procedures.
  • Should have good Knowledge and working experience on Cisco, Checkpoint , Fortinet Security
  • Products (Firewall & IPS) is an added advantage.
  • Should be skilled in Firewall and VPN troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for leading any planned scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Should be able to lead any incident calls with OEM technical support and provide any inputs required for restoration. Resolve Customer Escalations.

  • Should have good Knowledge and working experience on Firewall, IPS (Fortinet, Checkpoint), Proxy
  • Should have understanding on Cloud and Cloud security
  • Need to have knowledge on VNF environment e.g. Checkpoint VNF
  • Resolve Customer Escalations.
  • Act as a key SPOC for L3 Incidents.

  • Configure, manage Reports - Dashboards and Reports
  • Coordinate with Security & Network team, vendors and customers to resolve critical events;

Technical Competencies

Configure & Manage: Firewalls, VPN, IDS, IPS, UTM devices hardware and software operation. Strong understanding of network and security technologies

Hand on skills in configure, administer, and document firewall infrastructure.

Deep knowledge on working with Checkpoint /FortiGate/ Firewall

Maintain High Availability and Clustered firewall environments for customers using Check Point High Availability. Managing Check Point Smart Console Dashboard.

Proven Knowledge of IPS Software blades and others.

Deep understanding of VNF Related Deployment

IDS/ IPS Threat Monitoring and Tuning on Smart Console.

Knowledge of network protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLAN, TCP/IP, etc.).

 

Problem-Solving abilities will help stay on top of issues besides helping in resolving the same smoothly & efficiently.
Good Interpersonal skills matters.
Systems and process knowledge are key drivers on the job.
