You will be associated with a progressive organization in the area of Information Technology specializing in the Telecom/ Datacom domain, as member of the Core Team. The Team has the focus to secure robust and high-quality operations and delivery of TATA MOVE core network voice and data service releases.

Your key role is to support underlying network infrastructure evolution. Global Network that is charged with product life cycle management of current services and the development of ground-breaking new IoT Connect services as part of the MOVE business unit. You will build networking solutions for customer bespoke requirements and help to develop new ideas based on your experience, your research and your collaboration with other engineering teams and engineering experts. You will support networking solutions for service integration, and you will drive initiatives to increase stability at the same time optimise overall cost

Our carrier grade core network exists of HLR, IN, ITP’s, SBC’s, GGSN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Voicemail and Network management systems. It has interconnects with various national and international voice, GPRS and signaling operators and MVNO’s.

Task and Responsibilities

  • Member of an agile multi-disciplinary team that iteratively delivers core network functionality to the customer and stakeholders based upon committed backlog items.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement of the team.
  • Should be familiar with the architecture of the mobile telecommunications networks and the place of the IP domain within them.
  • Key involvement in the integration of the IP Network & Security infrastructure.
  • Provide support for all core IP related services. 
  • Delivery of new customer deployments, where appropriate.
  • Network design, running POCs with customer and working on bug fixes with vendors and new feature testing’s in LAB environment.
  • Discuss requirements with Product groups, in conjunction with Engineering teams, for complex requirements and provide inputs around feasibility of solution and solution alternatives.
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for service creation and fault resolution.
  • Responsible for knowledge transfer to other team members and assisting with personal development.
  • Interact with clients to resolve any issues before, during, or after development or service engagements.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support.
  • Provide training when appropriate to ensure our service offerings are properly communicated to stakeholders, prospects and clients.
  • Provide continued input to management regarding new ideas and concepts to improve overall quality of service to our stakeholders, clients and partners.
  • Occasional Foreign business travel as per internal/external business requirements.

What we are looking for

  • Fulltime BE/B.Tech in a relevant field and 8+ years related work experience.
  • Broad experience with Cisco/Juniper IOS Routing and Security devices (preferred CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE (Routing & Security Track)).
  • Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP protocol stack, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS VPN etc.).
  • One should have built solution for WAN and LAN network for an enterprise and data center environment.
  • Worked on Telecom network with understanding of 3G / 4G data and voice traffic flows including roaming services as GP / GRX / S6a.
  • Basic understanding of Security (IPsec, GRE, IDS/IPS, DDoS, URL Filtering, Application Security, Forward/Reverse SSL Proxy, RA VPN, DM VPN, Load Balancer (Plus)).
  • Understanding of Cloud (Public or Private) based security and vendor firewalls integration and deployment.
  • Good experience on writing design documents like HLD / LLD.
  • Good understanding of MS Office tools for writing the document and preparing diagrams as and when needed.
  • Profound experience in a relevant 2nd and/or 3rd line support environment.
  • Methodical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience in product development and interoperability.
  • Good listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working in an agile team-oriented, collaborative environment.
