Roles & Responsibilities (New Opportunities)

 

New opportunities (RFP/RFI/RFQ response and inputs):

  • Understand the opportunity details in general and transition scope in particular.
  • Work within the transition opportunity scope to provide transition solution, plan, framework, etc...
  • Define the approach to transition planning and execution.
  • Develop transition pricing (CIS) assumptions and provide inputs on overall Programme budgets.
  • Lead the transition related discussion with client/partners during opportunity presentation/discussion, BAFO, etc
  • Manage internal team’s (Sales, Pre-Sales, Delivery) expectations from Transition.


Roles & Responsibilities (Transition):

  • Accountability for end-to-end transition delivery 
  • Lead transition for strategic accounts/customers, complex, multi-vendor/partner deals
  • Understand the transition scope, client requirements, expectations (SLAs, performance parameters etc.), standards and procedures and help establish exit (toll-gate) criterion for the transition.
  • Lead and manage the client facing team, be the focal point for the setup of the engagement during transition 
  • Create and foster relationships with the client team members
  • Create transition plans and documents to outline project expectations, scope, schedule, and budget requirements
  • Accountable for cost and expenses during transition, ensure cost optimization
  • Organize project transition team and define roles and responsibilities (Project Charter, RACI, Stakeholder mapping) for each team/function during the transition phase
  • Liaise with organizational Support Functions (HR, Recruitment, It, Admin, etc…) to ensure fulfillment of areas such as hiring & on-boarding, network connectivity, system access, infrastructure is planned and completed as per the baselined transition schedule
  • Plan, design, launch and execute transition programmes
  • In a toll-gate based approach, ensure all transition tollgates have been met and operations are stabilized before transition closure
  • Advise and guide all workstreams to ensure successful and as-per-plan “Go-Live”
  • Define acceptance criteria, transition success criteria, sign-off process, and formal handover criteria to delivery teams
  • Identify, analyze and manage risks and responses effectively and efficiently 
  • Control and manage all forms of communication (internal, client) during transition
  • Accountable for governance – Create transition updates based on the governance plan in terms of frequency (daily, weekly, monthly) and audience (Functional team, Management team, Leadership steering committee)
  • Identify, understand and manage all the contractual obligations during transition 
  • Ensure on-time and accurate reporting with appropriate levels of escalation to enable effective decision making
  • Contribute to continuously enhance managed services transition capabilities, methodologies and tools
  • Evoke and implement effective change management procedure 

Skillset and Capability

Skillset & Capability    

  • Extensive experience in transition management and leadership of complex, large-ticket deals and Managed Services, preferably in Telecom domain
  • Managed end-to-end large ticket transitions of more than 100+ FTE and revenue size in excess of $50M across multiple geographies
  • Excellent programme and project management experience, including management of global, distributed teams in a complex matrix organization
  • Proficient in using and adopting various project management tools techniques and applications
  • Leadership qualities, should be able to lead and manage project teams, internal stakeholders, TCTS Leadership and client stakeholders, 
  • Effective and persuasive communicator, excellent communication skills are mandatory and non-negotiable, should be able to communication with CxO level stakeholders from client as well as TCTS
  • Conflict management skills
  • Extensive experience in change management, process design, knowledge transfer design, operating model design and implementations
  • Strong business partnering skills enabling collaboration across internal functions
  • Consistency in producing desired results under duress and time constraints 
  • Ability to influence key organizational and client stakeholders – thought process, experience and approach
  • A high level of drive, ability to work independently and deal effectively with dynamic situations, ambiguity and change


Education & Experience     

  • 10 - 15 years of experience in Transition, project/programme management in Managed Services (telecom domain preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in designing and developing integrated, complex transition programs for Managed Services solutions
  • PMP certified (Mandatory), Agile certification like CSM/PMI-ACP/SAFe preferred
  • MBA/ B.E / B.Tech degree from a reputed institute 
  • Open to international and domestic travel for extended periods of time
  • Telecom domain, MS business ecosystem understanding, an added advantage
