Job Description
Should have Experienced in Routing & Switching / Core IP Network Domain in the Service Provider environment
Should have very good understanding primarily on Cisco Switches & Routers and possess good understanding of Cisco ASR and NCS series routers and its applications
Good understanding of GRE, MPLS VPNs and QoS is must
Understanding of migration of circuits at routing and services level is must
Hands-on experience on services migrations on using command-line interface on Cisco routers from GRE to MPLS will be added advantage
Must have ability to work in provided outage window on production network is must
Must have very good working experience in Configuration / Provisioning / Build of complex IP networks for in Telecom Provider environment with hands-on experience in Cisco
Must have completed CCNA. (Preferable- CCNP/CCIP Certification)
IP MPLS and GRE Tunnels
Transport (DWDM/CWDM)
Fiber backhaul connectivity for IP/MPLS networks (Dark Fiber)
Create and schedule service impact/threatened report from the tool in ticketing and scheduling systems
Understand customer provided network solution and analyse
Generate router/switch configuration scripts based on provided network solution
Co-ordinate with partners to turn up network ports on devices
Upgrade transmission from 1G to 10 G/ Fibre to copper etc…
Remotely support field tech to swap/upgrade router or switch in the field
Migrating traffic from GRE to VRF
Perform IOS upgrades on Cisco NCS and ASR series routers in-network solution
Support field technician remotely to commission new router as per MOPs
Perform remote decommissioning of router/switches (logical decommissioning)
Should possess very good verbal and written communications skills
Ready to work in 24*7 rotational shifts or continuous night shifts depending on business need
Exp required: 3 to 5 years with BE / BTech / Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
