Purpose - Broad objective of the role

The Asst. Manager is a position within Tata Communications, based in the IOT-BU team and you will be reporting to the Manager/Sr. Manager. This role leads a small and mighty team of IOT professionals spread across various geographical locations, who are responsible for Service Delivery, Service Assurance and enhancing Tata Communications corporate reputation globally. You will be based in Sahibabad, near Gurgaon city, India. A multi-faceted professional, a brilliant communicator and organizer, a proven leader and cultivator of engaged and high-performing teams, a natural problem solver and relationship builder.  Proactive and hands-on, with strong business acumen and drive and determination to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Managing projects; Plan, coordinate and ensure completion on schedule & budget. Managing various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery/assurance, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of project. SLA Management, reporting, opportunity identification and enabling better performance metrics. Liaising end customers and the teams tasked with the actual execution of the project. Escalation/Exception management and resolution plan at project level. Onboarding of Resource Partners for installations and field activities. Coordination of in-house and vendor resources for competent project staffing. Supervision & Validation of on-field deployments. Field and Tata Communications application data analysis, root cause identification and enabling resolution. Managing day to day communication across all stakeholders – Client, vendors, solution and engineering teams.  Assessing customer feedback and suggests ways to improve delivery and quality. 

Key Requirements


Strong personality with an amalgamation of domain and soft skills. Should have managed multiple complex programs. Fluent in English (written, verbal and presentation). An ability to communicate fluently in English with varied stakeholders to collect requirements, describe and clarify strategy, specify solution features and refine technical designs. Prior experience of managing multiple stakeholders. Should have deep respect to all religions and be cognizant of cultural sensitivities/aspects. Experience with Project Management Tools and Methodologies. Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment where this role may not directly control resources and functions. Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations. Sound understanding of financial concepts like Capex, Opex, ROI etc. and ability to develop and Track Budgets and Financials. Focus on Outcome orientation. Ability to create project documentation like Project Charter, Success Criteria, Requirements/Scope documentation, Project Plan, Lessons Learned, Risk Register, Change Log, Communication Plan etc. Proven track record of IOT delivery, liaising with cross-functional project teams in a complex and changing environment. 

Minimum qualification & experience

Degree/Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunication / Industrial Engineering from a recognized University

Min. 5 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager / Program Manager for large and complex engagement
